In accordance with Paragraph 3 of the Empire of Austenasia Act 2013, Crown Dependencies are territories which – while fully a part of the Empire and under its sovereignty – are not fully incorporated, being governed by a Governing Commissioner on behalf of our Imperial Majesty. Noting that many of the residents of Austenasia, living in Crown Dependencies, have no representation whatsoever in government – it being inappropriate for territories which hold autonomy from parliamentary law to elect Representatives to make it – we wish to enable the residents of Crown Dependencies to have their interests and concerns represented in government.
It is the duty of every Governing Commissioner of a populated Crown Dependency to faithfully and accurately represent the interests and concerns of the population they govern to our Imperial Majesty. From henceforth, all those appointed Governing Commissioners shall upon appointment be offered a place in our Privy Council, membership of which is hereby granted to Patrick-Dylan Knox and Ketan Uzagi. Furthermore, we decree that all members of our Privy Council, together with all Representatives and all of our Governing Commissioners – Privy Counsellors or not – have the right of unhindered access to our ear, to voice any and all advice and concerns they may have, and shall not be hindered in doing so except by order of our Imperial Majesty.
Furthermore, we hereby pledge and affirm that we shall not – except in extraordinary circumstances concerning matters directly related to national security, or if we have strong grounds to believe that the Governing Commissioner in question cannot be trusted in the matter (which, in the latter case, would result in our reviewing the suitability of said person for their office) – grant Imperial Consent to an Act of Parliament that legislates for a populated Crown Dependency should the Governing Commissioner of said Crown Dependency inform us that the legislation in question is against the wishes or interests of the population they govern.
Furthermore, from henceforth all Privy Counsellors have the style of The Right Honorable (The Rt Hon.) should they not already have a higher ranking style or have a noble title. Furthermore, we hereby appoint HH Princess Consort Hannah to our Privy Council, and replace HIll.H Eritoshi, Countess of Memphis as Chief Advisor with HIH Lord Admiral Joseph Kennedy, Duke of Bohemia.
Finally, we hereby announce that the first day of the summer of 2016 in the Austenasian calendar will be the eighth day of June.
