Following months of negotiations, a new Austenasian embassy has been opened in the Czech Republic, staffed by the newly-appointed Ambassador to Czechia, Jan Šťastný.
Discussions to set up the embassy began several months ago at the suggestion of Šťastný, a diasporic list representative in the Austenasian Parliament. The process was formally initiated in early-June, and has now been confirmed by the Foreign Office.
The new embassy is located in the Czech town of Litomêřice, a historic community that amongst one of the oldest in the region, once boasting great political, cultural and economic importance under the Kingdom of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire.
Thus marks the fifth such embassy set up by the Empire, and the first such in nine years. Between 2015 – 17, the Hewitt Administration lead by Vera Caesarissa Romanorum set up a total of four embassies, with one becoming officially accredited by it’s host. These embassies are located in Pakistan, Spain, Überstadt, and the United Kingdom respectively.
The new Czech ambassador is expected to represent Austenasian interests in both Czechia at-large and within the Czech micronational community, which has seen a resurgence as of late with the proliferation of events such as Micro Euro Summit.
