Powers
Prime Minister represents the executive powers, presiding over their Cabinet, oversee the work of their Ministers and steers the political ship of Austenasia. The powers evolved over time, taking some powers off the Monarchy as the nation evolved to a more vibrant and democratic one.
Term
A Prime Minister is elected directly by popular vote for a four year term, by all subjects of Austenasia. A Prime Minister must be a Representative in the House of Representatives first, and be over 18 years old; an Austenasian citizen for at least three years and demonstrate good character and lack of criminal convictions.
A candidate runs on a joint ticket with their running mate, who will become the Deputy Prime Minister.
There are consecutive term limits, and no Prime Minister can serve more than two times in a row without approval of the House of Representatives.
