XXX Dec. I 2012 (Honorary Subjects)

Enacted in the reign of .
Status: .
  1. The Purpose of this Act is to confirm the status of Honorary Subject as an honorary status legitimately and officially conferred by the Empire of Austenasia, and to confirm all those who have applied for said status since the implementation of the Austenasian Constitution of 2011 as holding said status.

  2. It is recognised that, as of 28 July 2012, the status of Honorary Subject has been conferred upon 107 people. However, only the first 68 of said people have received this status with full legitimacy, as Act 20 (Honorary Subjects) as passed under the Austenasian Constitution of 2008, which established the status of Honorary Subject and authorised the Secretary-General to bestow said status on willing foreign applicants, was repealed on 22 September 2011 in accordance with Article II, Paragraph C of the Austenasian Constitution of 2011. However, it is hereby confirmed that the Secretary-General has the duty to obtain Honorary Subjects by the process established in Act 20 (Honorary Subjects) as passed under the Austenasian Constitution of 2008, as said responsibility was bestowed upon HIH Crown Prince Jonathan upon his appointment to the office of Secretary-General by the Third Imperial Edict of HIM Emperor Declan I.

  3. It is hereby reaffirmed that the status of Honorary Subject is available only to those who are both non-residents and non-subjects of Austenasia. Should an Honorary Subject become a resident or a subject of the Empire, they shall lose their status of Honorary Subject.

  4. The 107 Honorary Subjects who have so far applied and been granted the status of Honorary Subject between 11 January 2009 and 28 July 2012, as listed by the Secretary-General, are hereby confirmed in holding said status.
