The Imperial Standard of the Empire of Austenasia is the heraldic banner to be used as a personal flag by the Monarch in their capacity as head of state of Austenasia.
The Imperial Standard shall only be flown at full hoist from buildings in which the Monarch is and displayed on vehicles used by the Monarch during the times that they are used by him or her for official duties.
The Imperial Standard shall not be flown at half-mast except when above a building or on board a boat in which the unburied body of a recently deceased former Monarch is lying, but not when the current Monarch is visiting that building or on board that boat.
The Imperial Standard is a flag comprised of four quadrants, and is of the same design as that of the shield of the Coat of Arms of the Empire of Austenasia (see Act 153, Law 2).
Personal standards which are variants of the Imperial Standard may be used as personal heraldic banners by the Heir to the Throne, siblings of the Monarch, all descendants of the Monarch with the style of Imperial Highness, the spouse, parents, and grandparents of the Monarch, and any abdicated Monarchs.
The personal standard of the Heir to the Throne, children (with the style of Imperial Highness) and siblings of the Monarch shall be the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points. Brisures shall be added to one, two, or all of the points to differentiate between different personal standards.
The personal standard of grandchildren (and their descendants) of the Monarch shall be the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of five points. Brisures shall be added to one, some, or all of the points to differentiate between different personal standards.
The personal standard of the parents of the Monarch (not including any former spouses of a Monarch, who shall retain the personal standards granted to them by virtue of that position – see Paragraph E of this same Law) shall be the Imperial Standard defaced with a label azure of three points. Brisures shall be added to one, two, or all of the points to differentiate between different personal standards.
The personal standard of grandparents of the Monarch shall be the Imperial Standard defaced with a label azure of five points. Brisures shall be added to one, some, or all of the points to differentiate between different personal standards.
The personal standard of the spouse of the Monarch shall be the Imperial Standard (in the dexter half) impaled with the coat of arms or other suitable symbols which represent the spouse (in the sinister half).
The personal standard of an abdicated Monarch shall be the Imperial Standard defaced with a label sable of five points and with a laurel wreath as used in the Coat of Arms of the Empire of Austenasia as an emblem in the centre of the standard. Brisures shall be added to one, some, or all of the points on their standards to differentiate between different personal standards.
In regards to Law 5 of this same Act, it shall be assumed in regards to the granting of personal standards based on relation to the Monarch (excepting the personal standard of Sir Terry Austen, KCJ, which shall be granted under Law 5, Paragraph F of this same Act) that the Monarch is still HIM Emperor Terry I until Act 113, Law 11 is repealed.
In accordance with Laws 5 and 6 of this same Act, the following persons are hereby granted the following personal standards to be used as personal heraldic banners:
HIH Crown Prince Jonathan shall have as his personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points, the first and third points having a laurel wreath as brisures, and the second point having a Chi-Ro as a brisure.
HIH Princess Caroline shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points, the first point having a heart as a brisure and the third point having a laurel wreath as a brisure.
HIH Princess Christine shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points, the first point having a rose as a brisure.
HIH Princess Pauline shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points, the second point having a rose as a brisure
HIH Princess Julie shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label argent of three points, the third point having a rose as a brisure.
Dame Bette Austen, DHJ shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label azure of three points, the second point having a heart as a brisure.
Lady Margaret Austen, 1st Baroness of Glencrannog, DHJ, DOR, DPP shall have as her personal standard the Imperial Standard (in the dexter half) impaled with an azure lion rampant on an or background (in the sinister half).
Sir Terry Austen, KCJ shall have as his personal standard the Imperial Standard defaced with a label sable of five points (the second and fourth point having an or lion rampant as brisures) and with a laurel wreath as used in the Coat of Arms of the Empire of Austenasia as an emblem in the centre of the standard.
