On 26 July 2011, our predecessor Declan I adopted the title Lord of the Two Lands in regards to the sovereignty he held over both the Carshalton Nations and over Wilcsland, as well as in reference to his adoption of the rank of Pharaoh. Upon his deposition, his brother Ptolemy II did not retain this title, with the Wilcslandian Crown having lost any power or influence in Carshalton.
Our Imperial Majesty, possessing all rights to hold or bestow the Wilcslandian Crown in accordance with Paragraph 4 of the Wilcsland Act 2019, and concurrently reigning as Great King in Carshalton, can now also claim to be Lord of those Two Lands.
Disdaining, however, to resurrect a title purely on the basis of its use by our predecessor, we reflect that said title can further apply to our Imperial Majesty in the following ways:
First, as Pharaoh, the title Lord of the Two Lands is one held by our predecessors on said ancient throne from as long ago as the First Dynasty, referring to our sovereignty over both Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt.
Second, as Emperor of the Romans, whereas our fellow members of the consortium imperii either hold imperium in the East or the West, our own Imperial Majesty holds imperium in and is therefore Lord over the Lands of both the East and the West.
Third, although we hold the thrones of Austenasia, Rushymia, and Egypt in recognition of the imperium of Rome, our position as King of Persia is different in that Persia never fell under Roman imperium. Persia is therefore independent from the Roman Empire – indeed, the monarchies of each were referred to as the Two Eyes of the Earth – and yet we are both Emperor of the Romans and King of Persia, and thus Lord of these two Lands, Ērān and Anērān.
We therefore adopt the title of Lord of the Two Lands, to be included in our own official style immediately after that of Pharaoh and King of Persia.
