III Dec. I 2011 (Resident Representatives)

In accordance with Article V, Paragraph B, Subsection E of the Austenasian Constitution of 2011, all Austenasian subjects have the right to stand for election to run for the office of Representative of their Town during the first week after an order for a Local Election has been made by the Monarch.

It is hereby clarified that residents which are not subjects have no guaranteed right to run for the office of Representative in a Local Election, but as no part of the Austenasian Constitution of 2011 forbids this, they may do so if permitted by an Act of Parliament or Imperial Decree.

In accordance with Paragraph 2 of this same Act, until 20 April 2014 any resident who is not an Austenasian subject may stand for election to run for the office of Representative of their Town during the first weeks after an order for a Local Election has been made by the Monarch, on the condition that said residents:

1. Are over the age of thirteen years.

2. Have lived on Austenasian land for more than three years and/or live in Austenasia and have resided in that current place of residence for more than three years.

3. Have not committed a crime within the past year.
