It is hereby illegal to produce caffeine in Austenasia, due to the risk of addiction, caffeine intoxication and caffeinism. However, it is still legal to import, possess, trade and consume caffeine.
In accordance with Law 1 of this same Act, it is hereby illegal to grow the following plants inside the Empire:
Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Coffee (all plants in the genus of Coffea)
Kola nut (all plants in the genus of Cola)
Yerba ate (Ilex paraguariensis)
Guarana (Paullinia cupana)
Yaupon Holly (Ilex vomitoria)
It is hereby illegal to produce alcoholic beverages in Austenasia, due to the risk of addiction, intoxication and alcohol poisoning. However, it is still legal to import, possess, trade and consume alcohol.
Any person found producing caffeine or alcohol, or growing any of the plants listed in Law 2 of this same Act, will be committing the crime of drug production.
The Empire of Austenasia hereby ratifies the following treaties:
The Convention on Psychotropic Substances (signed on 21st February, 1971).
The Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs (signed on 30th March, 1961).
United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (signed on 20th December 1988).
