Since the implementation of the Austenasian Constitution of 2011, it has become the convention to name Imperial Decrees and Imperial Edicts in the following manner: “First Imperial Decree of HIM Emperor Declan I”, “Fifth Imperial Decree of HIM Emperor Jonathan I”, “Second Imperial Edict of HIM Emperor Jonathan I”, et cetera. This system of naming Imperial Decrees and Imperial Decrees only names such laws in accordance with the Monarch they were passed under and the number Imperial Decree or Imperial Edict they were in the respective reign, and give no indication to their content.
From henceforth, Imperial Decrees and Imperial Edicts shall be titled in the manner of this same Imperial Decree: first, a Roman numeral and abbreviated name of the Monarch, as in the titles of Acts of Parliament, to show the Monarch under whom the law was passed and the number Imperial Decree of Imperial Edict it was passed under the reign of said Monarch; second, “Decree/Edict on [subject matter]”, to show whether the law is an Imperial Decree or an Imperial Edict and the issue it addresses.
