Status: .

The dynastic house to which the late HIH Emperor Grandmother Joyce and Lord Geoffrey Trory, Duke of Belfast belonged is hereby named as the Noble House of Trory, comprised of all male-line descendants of George Trory (2 March 1863 – 6 March 1933). The senior patrilineal member of the House of Trory, as Head of the House, shall bear the arms of the house, that is, Gules, three bezants all charged with a cross couped of the first, unless they are also entitled to some variation on the Imperial Standard, in which case the arms of the House of Trory shall be used as an inescutcheon on their existing arms.

The dynastic house to which the late HIH Dame Bette Austen, DHJ belonged is hereby named as the Valiant House of Beck, comprised of all male-line descendants of Stephen Beck (1850 – 1928). We decree that the Head of the House of Beck shall be the senior patrilineal heir of the same Stephen Beck, with the exception that descendants of Percy Beck (22 September 1894 – 1975) take precedence over those of his brothers. The Head of the House of Beck shall bear the arms of the house, that is, Gules, six swords three, two and one Or, unless they are also entitled to some variation on the Imperial Standard, in which case the arms of the House of Beck shall be used as an inescutcheon on their existing arms.

For the purposes of this Edict, and of Decree XXXIII Jon. I, a male-line descendant is any descendant in the male line, that is, children of sons, grandsons, great-grandsons, et cetera. The daughter of a son would therefore be a male-line descendant, but not her own children.

The House referred to in the suffix of Lords Imperial, Ladies Imperial, and the spouses of Lords and Ladies Imperial with no other suffix or post-nominals shall, if such is not otherwise directed by the Monarch, be the same as the surname held by that person since birth (or, unless they announce otherwise, since marriage).

Decreed at Chester this fourteenth day of April during the ninth year of our reign, in the year of the consulship of Hannah Augusta and Bradley Archidux Saxoniae, anno mundi 7529.
