Act 36, Law 3 is hereby repealed. Any person may cross the border into the Empire of Austenasia unless:
They have been exiled.
The border has been closed.
The official guarding the border has a good reason to believe that the person attempting to cross poses an immediate danger to inhabitants of the Empire.
They have on their person:
Any drugs proclaimed illegal by the United Kingdom in the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Tobacco
Nicotine
Radioactive material
Nuclear weapons
Any person attempting to cross the border either with:
A weapon(s)
One or more of the dangerous animals listed in Act 69, Law 6
Must have said property registered by the Home Office before entering the Empire with it.
To avoid possible future overcrowding, no new permanent residents are permitted in the Empire of Austenasia.
Any resident, after crossing the border, is free to go back into Austenasia whenever they wish, unless any of the conditions listed in Law 1 of this same Act are applicable.
Any Honorary Subject may stay in the Empire for a period of two days as a tourist. Staying any longer will require the written permission of the Home Secretary. [This law has been changed – see Act 114, Law 4]
Any foreign national who is not an Honorary Subject, but has been knighted by HIM the Emperor or HIH the Crown Prince may stay in the Empire for a period of 24 hours as a tourist. Staying any longer will require the written permission of the Home Secretary. [This law has been changed – see Act 114, Law 4]
Any foreign national may stay in the Empire for a period of 8 hours maximum as a tourist. Staying any longer will require the written permission of the Home Secretary. [This law has been changed – see Act 114, Law 4]
No foreign national is permitted to cross the border into South Kilttown as a tourist without the prior given permission of the whole of the South Kilttown Town Council, including its Representative.
No foreign national is permitted to cross the border into Wrythe as a tourist without the prior given permission of the Emperor and Empress.
The Home Office is responsible for enforcing this Act. Every Town Council shall set up a Customs Office at the entrances to the Town.
