When an order of precedence is necessary or desired to rank foreign and/or Austenasian imperials, royals, and/or nobles, the Empire of Austenasia shall recognise precedence according to the rank of the highest title held by that person. The Empire of Austenasia recognises the following titles as being in the following hierarchy of rank (highest ranking first, with those listed in each paragraph being equal to each other – those titles followed by an asterisk mean that title being held as a sovereign or ruling title, whereas those titles followed by a caret mean that title being held as a non-sovereign, non-ruling, or honorary title):

In regard to Law 1 of this same Act, the precedence of those holding a title of the same rank shall further be decided by the style that they hold – a person with the same title but a higher ranking style than another shall be recognised as holding superior precedence over the others with that title, but shall not be recognised as holding superior precedence over a person with a lower ranking style who has a higher ranking title. The Empire of Austenasia hereby recognises the following styles as being in the following hierarchy of rank (highest ranking first, with those listed in each paragraph being equal to each other):

In regards to Paragraph B of Law 2 of this same Act, the styles listed in Subsection I of that Paragraph shall be recognised as ranking higher than those listed in Subsection II of that Paragraph only if they are not also being compared to the style of Majesty, in which case all styles listed in that Paragraph shall be recognised as holding equal rank.
