Austenasia and Orly are geographically very close, with under a mile between their borders at the closest point. Orly’s original incarnation, the Caesarship of Orly, recognised Austenasian suzerainty but never entered full diplomatic relations. In 2010 the Caesarship split into the Kingdom of Copan and the Kingdom of the Grove, both of which entered formal relations with Austenasia on 7 August 2010 and likewise recognised Austenasian suzerainty.
The two kingdoms were later reunited into the Tsardom of Orly, and after being liberated from a period of foreign rule in June 2013, Orly was made a protected state of the Empire, with Austenasia pledging to defend it against outside attack. Today Orly again consists of two sovereign states, Copan (ruled by Queen Emma I) and the Grove (ruled by King Calum I), both recognising Austenasian suzerainty and maintaining strong friendly relations with the Empire.
