Austenasia and the People’s Democratic Autocracy of Arborea entered informal friendly relations in May 2011, following a request from the Arborean government. Formal diplomatic relations began on 21 September that year, when Austenasia mutualised recognition. Arborea is a relatively isolationist nation, rarely making contact with the outside world, but reaffirmed its diplomatic friendship with Austenasia in June 2020.
