Emperor Alexander has declared a regency period, expected to last up to two months, after being hospitalised due to medical complications.

The Emperor initially named the Princeps Senatus, Vera Caesarissa Romanorum, as effective regent two weeks ago amidst the Emperor’s mental health struggling amidst Austenasia’s ongoing dispute and non-micronational affairs.

It has just been confirmed to be a longer-term arrangement after the Emperor was recently hospitalised. The Emperor was discharged from hospital last night following an operation, and owing to the roadmap for his recovery, decided best that the Regent and the Prime Minister remain in their role as a more long-term affair whilst the Emperor recovers.

The Times can confirm at this time that the Emperor is currently okay, and is taking it easy for a time, so he’ll be in tip-top shape once he is ready to pick up the crown again.

In his final address, Emperor Alexander publicly commemorated Imperium Day with the Prime Minister, this year being the 15th anniversary of the recognition of Austenasia’s Imperium by a descendant of the House of Hohenzollern.
