There are a few updates on the de facto regency triggered by the recent hospitalisation of Emperor Alexander VI last week.

For the time being the Times can still confirm that the Emperor is fine and well, and is currently recovering and awaiting further treatment.

Emperor Adam I of Adammia, a close long-term friend and ally of Austenasia, was named as a counselor-of-state to serve alongside Vera Caesarissa Romanorum on the 5th of June. Emperor Alexander confirmed the transfer of his authority to the two counselors-of-state in accordance with the Constitution of 2011.

There are likewise some other temporary alterations within the Austenasian government owing pressing necessity.

Prime Minister John Gordon is preparing to begin basic training with the British Army, which will greatly reduce his capacity to conduct his duties for a time – as a result, during this time, Lord Mick Griffin will take the reins as Acting Prime Minister.

The Austenasian political machine is still turning as always. The recently elected Speaker of the House, Caleb Sneeden addressed Parliament. The Senate is in the process of expecting a new Princeps Senatus, and the Foreign Office is in talks to set up a new embassy overseas.
