Team Austenasia has emerged triumphant from the 2025 Micronational Olympic Federation Intermediate Games, emerging first place in both the exhibition events and the main competition.
Austenasia tied for first place with the Knuffeldierlander team, following Addison O’Halloran’s impressive performance in the Chess and Draughts events netting Team Austenasia a gold and a silver medal respectively. Despite floundering at the Spreadsheet Football exhibition, Austenasia went on to win awards in several categories in the National Pride exhibition; earning accolades in the categories for best national name, coat of arms, and MicroWiki article.
In the closing ceremony for the games as held on the 27th of January, event host Lord Valentinus stated:
It has been a massive honour to host these games on behalf of Austenasia. This ambitious endeavour was at the time one of the largest known online micronational tournaments of all time […] This could not have been done alone, and I would like to take the time to publicly thank the following individuals for helping make AUS25 happen: Jan Šťastný, host of the national pride competition; Otto Green, advisor during the bidding process; Newton von Uberquie, host of the spreadsheet football competition […] a special shout-out goes to Dilly M. Johnson and Addison O’Halloran who helped out on the AUS25 Committee
The full standings of the tournament are as follows
- 🏅 1st Place: Austenasia / Knuffeldierland
- 🥈 2nd Place: Medoles
- 🥉 3rd Place: Mendersia / Urabbaparcensia
Following the conclusion of the event, the Austenasian Olympic Committee announced multiple exciting projects.
AOC Vice President Lord Green has announced a charity fundraiser on behalf of the Order of Saint Constantine for the Olympic Refuge Organisation, marking a return of Austenasia’s traditional annual charity events. The first such event held since 2022, the fundraiser is to be held from 6 – 22 February to raise money to aid refugees access and benefit from sport, encourage national governments to include safe sport in their refugee response frameworks, and mobilise partnerships to create sustained change and improve the way sport is used to support young people affected by displacement.
AOC President Lord Valentinus is currently building a new Austenasian team to compete at the 2026 MOF eGames, hosted by Curnon – and so far has recruited Dilly M. Johnson, and gold medalist Laird O’Halloran.
