# Uskor

![Flag of Uskor](https://austenasia.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/300px-Flag_of_Uskor.png)Austenasia and the Socialist Commonwealth of Uskor entered formal diplomacy on 23/24 March 2014, while Uskor was still known as Zealandia, having held informal friendly relations since mid-2012. Zealandia governed the Austenasian Crown Dependency of New South Scotland (NSS) from 2013 until September 2016.

Relations were badly strained by the 2014 New South Scotland crisis, when Zealandia's then-Queen attempted to occupy and claim NSS; international pressure led to a compromise under which Zealandia administered NSS on Austenasia's behalf while sovereignty remained with the Empire. A further dispute in 2015 was resolved by a treaty signed on 3 May reaffirming that compromise. Relations improved steadily afterwards, helped by NSS returning to direct Austenasian administration in 2016.
