# Adammia

Formal diplomatic relations began on 23 May 2018, when Emperor Jonathan I and Emperor Adam I signed a treaty of mutual recognition. Genealogical research later revealed the two monarchs to be eleventh cousins once removed via the House of Boxall. Adam I first visited Wrythe in September 2018 for Austenasia's tenth Independence Day.

A 2020 treaty between Austenasia, Adammia and the Holy Roman Empire established recognition of Adammia's imperial claim, placing Adam I on equal imperial footing with Jonathan I. The two nations have long co-operated within the Grand Unified Micronational, and relations deepened further with Adam I serving as groomsman at Jonathan I's 2022 wedding and a 2023 Austenasian state visit to Adammia. Adam I was placed directly into the Austenasian line of succession in 2024 and is currently fifth in line to the Throne.
